What you need to know

Orthodontic treatment moves teeth into a better position over time. Most people come in for how it looks, but the stronger case is usually health: straight teeth are easier to clean, and teeth that are easier to clean develop less decay and less gum disease across a lifetime.

Dr. Ghaemmaghami is a general dentist who provides orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign® clear aligners. Cases that need a specialist are referred out — we will tell you plainly which category yours falls into at the consultation.

Did you know…

Adults are a large and growing share of orthodontic patients. Bone remodels throughout life, which is why teeth can still be moved at fifty. The main differences from treating a teenager are that adult treatment often takes a little longer and that existing crowns, implants, or gum disease have to be accounted for in the plan.

What we offer

  • Traditional braces
  • Invisalign® clear aligners
  • Retainers
  • Bite and alignment evaluation
  • Records and treatment planning
  • Referral to an orthodontic specialist when appropriate

Frequently asked questions

Braces or clear aligners?

Aligners are discreet, removable, and suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well. Fixed braces handle severe rotation, large gaps, and complex bite corrections more predictably. The examination decides it, not the preference.

How long will treatment take?

Most cases run one to two years, though simple corrections finish sooner. You will get an estimated range at the consultation once records are taken.

Do I have to wear a retainer afterward?

Yes. Teeth drift back toward their old position without one. Retention is part of the treatment, not an optional extra, and we will show you exactly how to wear and clean it.

Treatment time and results vary by patient and by case.
